OVERVIEW
Digital storytelling refers to a short form of digital film-making that allows everyday people to share aspects of their life story. “Digital storytelling” is a relatively new term which describes the practice of people who use digital tools to tell their ‘story’. Digital stories often present in compelling and emotionally engaging formats.
Digital stories are short 3 to 8 minute multimedia movies that combine photographs, video, animation, sound, music, text, and often a narrative voice. Students can work individually or collaboratively to produce their own digital stories.
This will be an intensive workshop. The stories that unfold are typically based on deep feelings. Be prepared to get to know yourself and your classmates different that you may have ever thought possible.
This course will be taught using lecture, demonstration, interactive feedback sessions, and LOTS of media & technology.
